The Ratrie Arboretum is located in the Spring Hill Cemetery Park at 1555 Farnsworth Drive in Charleston, West Virginia. It is a few minutes from Exit 100 of Interstate 64.

The Arboretum is open to the public from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, and is free of charge. Parking is free, but bus tours need to call in advance
(304-348-8010) for parking instructions. Public restrooms are available only 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. on weekdays.

Self-guided tours are easily done by car or by walking on the five miles of paved roads that course through the park. Maps are available at the park office or at the parking lot kiosk. To fully experience the Arboretum, it is strongly advised that one uses a mobile device with cellular access to the tour link on the Arboretum and Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery websites.

Courtesy Reminders

Leashed dogs and pets are welcome on the property. Please be mindful of the area and other guests by picking up after your pet.

Picnics and outside food and drinks are allowed on the grounds. We ask that you please be sure to dispose of waste appropriately.

Personal photography is allowed and encouraged.

The Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery Park meets the second Tuesday of each month, except December. However, currently, the group conducts virtual meetings via Zoom. Meetings are at 4 p.m. in the conference room of the cemetery office. Please come by so we can get to know you!
